DUVAS D1000 unit is a portable, multi-species gaseous detection unit based on differential ultraviolet absorption spectroscopy and offers flexible mobile, portable or fixed versions and can be used as standalone unit or as part of an intelligent and comprehensive network and grid.
The DUVAS D1000 is a fully portable, battery powered optical monitor capable of measuring several criteria gas pollutants in one small instrument. The D1000 features parts per billion detection and quantification capability. It measures the gases directly and with much faster time resolution than conventional methods. This enables it to be used whilst on the move either on a vehicle, bicycle or on foot. Its internal GPS and GPRS communications ensure it knows exactly where it is and allows it to stream data back to the user in real time. It can also be deployed in a fixed position. The ability to measure air pollution in cities is often restricted by available space, power or planning restrictions which can be frustrating for many air quality monitoring professionals. With the introduction of DUVAS, a UV optical technology is now available which, for the first time, is able to deliver the accuracy required in a package that is battery powered small and light enough to be used just about anywhere.
