Business Development Manager - Scotland
(Suitable candidates could be located anywhere in the UK as long as they can freely travel to Northern England as necessary)

We have an exciting opportunity at Acoem UK for a full time Business Development Manager to join our UK sales team.
This role will be remote based with UK travel an integral part of the role. Reporting to the Sales Manager – Air & Blast, the role is varied and covers a range of responsibilities including:
NOTE: To be considered for this role you must have a proven 3+ years experience in a Technical systems sales environment.
* Selling and promoting our portfolio of environmental monitoring instrumentation and services
- Identifying opportunities through new business development and managing existing accounts
- Preparing of proposals and submitting of tenders
- Responding to reactive sales enquiries
- Proactively developing and maintaining your customer database.
- Developing product knowledge through company literature and other independent sources of technical information
- Attending conferences, visiting customers and presenting our solutions in verbal and written form
- Producing high quality quotes while maintaining our SalesForce CRM system
- Account management with regular client contact; understanding their needs and pain points
- Sales analysis and reporting
Essential to your success will be your:
* Proven 3+ years experience in a Technical Sales or business development role in a B2B environment
- Experience and sound understanding of selling scientific instrumentation or complex systems
- Ability to build solid, long term customer relationships
- Experience making cold calls/visits to generate new business opportunities
- Ability to work autonomously in a fluid working environment
- Energy and drive as well as being a team player who relates well with all stakeholder levels
- Excellent communication, planning and organisation skills
